Suzan Nassolo, 24, is redefining the future of farming wih environmental friendly innovations. Driven by her love for agriculture and a commitment to healthier, more sustainable communities, Suzan has emerged as a powerful voice for organic solutions that restore soils and build farmer resilience.
Growing up in Mityana District, Suzan saw firsthand the challenges faced by smallholder farmers: declining soil fertility, chemical overuse, and climate shocks that threatened their livelihoods. Determined to be part of the solution, she joined TeamUp Uganda in 2018 as a youth peer facilitator during the program’s pilot phase. There, she discovered her passion for regenerative agriculture and developed skills to inspire change.
Through TeamUp, she was empowered with knowledge, skills, and confidence to drive positive change in her community, particularly around sustainable agriculture and youth empowerment.
In 2021, fuelled by her experience and determination, Suzan co-founded EverGrow Organics Limited. The enterprise creates organic solutions for farmers, starting with EM Super, a mineral-based organic fertilizer rich in beneficial microorganisms that suppress harmful pathogens and restore soil health, and Farm Power, an organic livestock immune booster that supports healthier, more resilient herds. These products aim to break the cycle of soil degradation and chemical overuse, helping smallholder farmers achieve greater yields while protecting the environment.
Suzan’s leadership was recognised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which selected her to participate in the Youth Connekt Africa Summit 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda. The summit, held under the theme “Jobs for Youth through Innovative Skilling,” gathered change-makers, industry experts, policymakers, and youth leaders from across the continent, providing Suzan with an incredible platform to showcase her work.
Back home, Suzan continues to empower farmers through community outreach and training on agroecological practices. EverGrow Organics also plants a tree for every product sold, strengthening its mission to restore nature and fight climate change.
Through farmer sensitization, study tours, and climate awareness campaigns, Suzan is inspiring a new generation to choose organic and regenerative farming for healthier food systems and a greener planet.

Suzan also participated in the POWER (Providing Opportunities for Women Entreprenuers in Reproductive Health) Project under Action 4 Health Uganda, one of TeamUp’s partners. Suzan remains committed to creating opportunities for youth and driving climate action.
Suzan’s story proves that with determination, innovation, and the right support, young people can transform their communities and spark sustainable change for generations to come.
